10 Ways to Become More Appreciated...

1. Build Good Will: Be friendly and show respect to students, parents, school visitors and co-workers. Say, "thank you" often.
2. Give Your Work Area Some Class: Keep your workspace clean and organized, and make it an attractive place that reflects well on the school and yourself.
3. Know School Policy & Procedures: It's easier to work as a team if everybody knows and follows the rules.
4. Always Do Your Best: Commit to excellence in everything you do. Make yourself an inspiration to students and co-workers.
5. Show School Spirit: Get involved in school activities and school staff functions.
6. Choose a Positive Attitude: Help spread an energetic "can do" enthusiasm throughout the school.
7. Be a Team Player: Praise students and co-workers when you see a task done well. Offer to lend a helping hand whenever you can.
8. Be Flexible: A school is a dynamic place, filled with creative, intelligent, and passionate people. Be patient and willing to "go with the flow."
9. Maintain a Sense of Humor: Laughter can go a long way to keeping stress and conflict to a minimum.
10. Strive to Better Yourself: Set a goal for one or more areas of performance that you would like to improve. Then, set up a plan for achieving them.
